Hi! We have been studying our characters from our different charter clubs and we've been thinking about what words can we use to describe their personality. Tonight's reading homework, students will practice thinking about a "character" of their family and state a personality trait and 3 experiences/events that prove why they think that trait best describes the family member they chose.

Hi! I am back! I was away on a conference for educators.
This week we are starting our literacy unit on character traits and working in Reading Clubs! In Writing, we just finished our all about books and they came out AWESOME! In Math, we will be starting our unit on Measurement tomorrow!
Thank you to all the parents who dressed their child up for 101th day of school and completing the 100th poster. I know the communication was a little confusing with the sub and all. Lastly, THANK YOU for all the wonderful gifts for Valentine's Day! Was wonderful to come back to teaching and feeling appreciated. Thank again!

Hi! Today was a wonderful Monday! So happy to have a full week of school with no snow day interruptions! This week we will be working very hard on our nonfiction writing as students research and write about their animal of choice. Ask your child what animal they chose and what they have learned about this animal so far? (This will be a huge help, in activating their minds to think about all they have learned or how much more research they still need to do.) In Math today we learned about borrowing and making a ten to add numbers. This was pretty challenging, and we will spend some extra days on it.
