Alternative Seating!!!!!

We got rid of our assigned seats!!!! Research as shown that 5 and 6 year olds can’t sit for hours at a time. I know I can’t!

Students are allow to pick their own seat that best fits them, they can also choose to work at the standing table, seating criss-cross on a rug, or kneeling on pillows. As long as they are working, that is the goal! We switch our seats right before I teach the next lesson, so seats are never permanent and our friends are always changing! So far this has been great for our classroom learning!

Week of April 11th

Parent teacher conferences are on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. I sent home appointment times last Thursday. Please make sure to mark your calendar and make your appointment. Last, time we had all but one parent show up. It would be awesome to get 100% attendance!!!

Field Trip information for The Children’s Museum on May 5th went home last week. Please send in $8.00 and signed permission slips as soon as possible.

Keep reading using MyOn! Make sure your child completes the book in its entirety. The school’s MyOn contest is for the most number of books read!

Also, homework packets are due FRIDAY April 15th since we will be on Spring Break the following Monday!
