Tuesday 09/24/13

Hi! Today was a busy day for us. We had a guest speaker, Officer Friendly came in and spoke to the children about safety and not talking to strangers. In reading and writing we worked on finding the "juicy middle" of a story (this is the same thing the students need to do on their book reports). In Math we worked on comparing objects and using a subtraction bar to help us understand "fewer" and "more than."

Homework:
Spelling: 5 sentences and illustrate pictures to match sentences

Math: Workbook page on subtraction

Reading: Practice sight words and practice reading

How I taught Math in class today...Note the drawing. Students need to draw!
