HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome back! In order to build rigor in curriculum, today the studenst received a new Spelling Routine for the rest of the year! Please take a look into your child's Spelling notebook for the new changes. In math we started our new unit on comparing numbers. In  reading and writing we will be working with reading and researching by using nonfiction text to eventually teach others what we learned by writing our own all about book!

Weekly Words:
Blue: plump, stew, sue, sew, few, trunk, chew, clue, true, blue, do, dump, drew, flue, brush, knew, glue, grew, truth, truck, junk

Green: kangaroo, kitten, kite, key, kick, wheelbarrow, whistle, wheat, whisker, whale, question, quack, quilt, queen, quiet, twenty, twine, twig, twelve, twins

Yellow: leash, leg, laugh, lap, kangaroo, kitten, kick, kite, jack, jump, jog, jump rope, well, wag, window

Sight words: wanted, your, which, heard, covered, his, she'll ocean wife

Homework:
Spelling: Day 1 and 2! 5 times each and 10 sentences (NO MORE PICTURES)

Phonics: pages 173-175

Math: workbook page

Reading: practice sight words and practice reading
