Tuesday 01/14/14

Hi! Today we learned about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the importance of his peaceful marches and protest to end segregation. In writing we add our fine details and checked for capitals and punctuation to our "How to" books. In science we are learning about rocks and students were able to examine different types of rocks looking for features to describe their sizes, shape, and color.

Homework:
Spelling: 10 sentences, make sure to add capitals at the beginning and end-marks at the end of each sentence

Phonics: workbook pg 191-194

Reading: practice sight words and practice reading

Math: 2 workbook pages on problem solving
